Game & Mobile Developers, ACE and more

Hi again...

I hope the spring is treating everyone well.

A couple of topics/opportunities that might be of interest:

First, our Rio Grande IGDA chapter is putting together a booth for the upcoming Albuquerque Comic Expo - want to buy in?

Do you like comics? Do you make games? Would you like to be part of a booth to show off your games? Well the Rio Grande IGDA has you covered! This year we would like to have a booth to show off Albuquerque's Greatest Game Developers at the Albuquerque Comic Expo! If you'd like to get a spot contact Ryan Leonski either here on facebook or at ryan.leonski@gmail.com Please contact before Friday May 20th!

Second, the NM Tech Council is working with Santa Fe MIX, AIGA NM, the Santa Fe Complex and others to launch the region's first Mobile Apps Challenge and Jam to create mobile applications that will serve the Santa Fe and larger community.  There are Thousands of $$$ and other prizes available for talented developers.  Read more at http://www.mixsantafe.com/#/mix-challenge/2011/05/12/app-challenge/ and sign up for the jam at: http://www.eventbrite.com/myevent?eid=1642921021
Have thoughts and suggestions about what you'd like to see?  Share them at: http://bit.ly/l8vQtd

I'll send more over at the events list, so just a reminder here. First, the Tech Council's annual awards, conference and expo is coming on Friday June 3rd (more info at the link below).

Also coming soon are an NM Digital Media Forum in Santa Fe on June 17th (save the date), closely followed by the SIGGRAPH Summer in Santa Fe Meetup on Saturday the 18th.

Hope you have a great summer -- and to see you around soon!
